Calendar
The Calendar tab is where you can define and manage work calendars for your team. Calendars help in scheduling shifts, ensuring that assignments are made only during working hours, and respecting holidays. SnapAssign offers a standard 24x7 working calendar by default. This preset calendar applies to all default assignment rules across teams.
Managing Calendars
Calendar List:
The main Calendar tab displays all the calendars that have been created. Each calendar shows its name, timezone, working days, and associated holidays.
The calendars are listed in a table format, and each entry includes an actions menu (Edit, Delete) for managing the calendar.

Adding a New Calendar:
Click on "+ Add Calendar":
This will open a dialog where you can define a new calendar.
Define Calendar Details:
Calendar Name: Enter a name for the calendar.
Time Zone: Select the appropriate timezone. This setting is crucial as it aligns the working hours and holidays with the correct local time.
Work Hours:
Select the days that are considered working days by checking the boxes next to each day.
For each day, you can define multiple working periods (e.g., 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00). Use the "+" button to add more periods within the same day.
Add Holidays:
In the Holiday section, you can define holidays that apply to the calendar.
Holiday Name: Name the holiday.
Start Date and End Date: Specify the start and end dates for the holiday.
Recurrence: Choose whether the holiday recurs annually or is a one-time event.
You can add multiple holidays by clicking the "+ Add Holiday" button.
Submit Calendar:
Once all details are filled out, click Submit to save the calendar. The new calendar will then appear in the list on the main Calendar tab.
Editing and Deleting Calendars
Editing a Calendar:
To edit an existing calendar, click the "Edit" option from the actions menu next to the calendar you want to modify. The same dialog as for creating a calendar will open, allowing you to make changes.
Deleting a Calendar:
If a calendar is no longer needed, it can be removed by selecting the "Delete" option from the actions menu. This action is irreversible, so make sure to confirm before proceeding.
