Issue Panels in Jira
Overview
SnapAssign provides enhanced issue assignment tracking and management through two specific panels: the Issue Activity Panel and the Issue Context Panel. These panels help users track how issues are assigned and identify if any assignment errors occur. This guide provides an overview of both panels and their functionalities.
1. Issue Activity Panel
The Issue Activity Panel displays a detailed history of SnapAssign's operations related to an issue. The activity log includes the following details:
Assignments: Whenever SnapAssign successfully assigns an issue to a team member, it is recorded here. The assignment shows the team and member details, along with the time of assignment.
Failures: If SnapAssign encounters any issues during assignment (such as no shift/member found), the failure is logged along with a reason for the error. This includes information on why the assignment failed, such as if a rule only allows assigning once.
Example Display:
A successful assignment displays the team and member who were assigned the issue.
In case of failure, an error message is shown, such as:
Rule can only assign once due to the configuration!
No assignable shift found!

2. Issue Context Panel
The Issue Context Panel displays the most recent successful assignment of an issue by SnapAssign. It provides at-a-glance information for the user about the last time SnapAssign automatically assigned the issue, including:
Assigned Team Member: The user to whom the issue was assigned.
Time: The timestamp of the last assignment.
Team Information: The team to which the assignment belongs.
Rule Information: The rule that was applied during the assignment.
This panel serves as a quick reference for users to understand the current ownership of an issue without having to dive into the activity log.
