SnapJQL - Advanced JQL for Jira Cloud
SnapJQL extends Jira Cloud with advanced JQL functions and properties, so you can search deeper, faster, and more flexibly than Jira alone allows.
No configuration required to start querying. Install the apps, run initial indexing, and use SnapJQL functions directly in Jira’s issue search.
What is SnapJQL?
SnapJQL adds new JQL functions and properties for:
Category | Examples |
|---|---|
Issue hierarchy | Children, parents, recursive descendants |
Issue links | Blocks, relates to, duplicates, and more |
Field comparisons | Compare values across issues |
Agile | Sprints, boards, issues added after sprint start |
Comments & attachments | Search by content and metadata |
History & transitions | Who changed what, and when |
Groups & organizations | Membership-based queries |
Functions work inside Jira’s native JQL editor, no separate tool to learn.
Companion app: SnapJQL – More JQLs
SnapJQL ships with a free companion app due to Atlassian Marketplace packaging limits.
App | Purpose |
|---|---|
Core functions & admin UI | |
Additional JQL properties (due to Atlassian packaging limitations) |
Both apps integrate automatically. Install both, no extra setup.
